On 14 June, the Prime Minister announced that as not all the four tests for proceeding to step 4 of the UK government roadmap for the easing of coronavirus restrictions had been met, most of the step 4 openings would be delayed until 19 July. This situation will be monitored daily, and it might be possible to move to step 4 earlier if the risks diminish, but not within the next two weeks.

The next UK government review of the current green list, amber list and red list is imminent.
The UK’s traffic light system will be updated every three weeks, or according to changing risk levels.
That timeframe indicates that the next list review will be on 24 June, with changes coming into effect from 29 June.
After June 24, you can expect a review on July 15, before another on August 5, and then another on August 26.
It is hoped the announcement will pave the way for vaccinated people to avoid quarantine and take fewer or no tests.
People coming from “green list” countries must provide a negative Covid test within 72 hours of departure and then pay for a PCR test on or before their second day back in the UK.
Those returning from an “amber” country must quarantine at home for 10 days. They must take a pre-departure test and two PCR tests when back, on days two and eight.
Britons returning from “red” countries must quarantine for 10 days in government-approved hotels at their own expense, as well as the pre-departure test and the two tests once back.
