At LanguageUK Canterbury we want our summer school students to be more confident at using English while enjoying their learning experience and developing important skills for their future.
Problem solving, critical thinking, effective communication and team work are just some of the skills that students might not have yet, but will need in their future life and career. That’s why, we encourage our students to study on our summer courses which are project-based.
Projects allow students to collaborate in English, working towards a final goal, improving their knowledge of the English language and developing a set of skills in a fun environment. Whether it is about delivering a final presentation, shooting a movie or creating a music band, students’ talents and skills will be tested and used to produce the best possible outcome!
Students will be encouraged to interact and take part in discussions, decisions, and scenarios where they will develop their fluency, expand their vocabulary, perfect their pronunciation and improve their listening skills.
The simulating topics they will be able to work on (creating a music band, acting a scene from a musical, presenting an invention, enacting a court scenario, broadcasting a film premiere, etc.) will allow students to grow in all areas of the English language, reaching an established goal and feeling proud of the results achieved on their course.
All of this will happen in the fantastic settings of our St. Edmund’s campus based in Canterbury and with an amazing view from the hill! The campus offers plenty of space for students to enjoy facilities such as tennis courts, football pitches, a theatre and a music hall, along with a beautiful residence in a traditional British style!
